Preparing for Expansion, Multicast Strengthens Management Team
ATLANTA—October 7, 2008—Multicast, the market-leading Internet video platform company, today announced the appointment of Doug Hadaway as CFO and VP of Operations as it gears up for further expansion. In this role, Hadaway will play an integral role in managing the company's day-to-day business operations and the strategic development and expansion of business both domestically and internationally of the rapidly growing internet video management and delivery company.
"Organizations of all sizes are increasingly adopting strategies for online video communications with customers, employees and other constituents. Our Internet video platform, Vidego™, gives customers all of the tools needed to convert, manage and publish video content from one unified console. We have experienced tremendous growth and now serve nearly 1,000 customers worldwide," said Lou Schwartz, Founder and CEO of Multicast. "Doug's track record of successfully scaling companies in the technology industry to accelerate growth makes him an ideal fit for Multicast," continued Schwartz.
Prior to joining Multicast, Hadaway served as CEO and CFO of Marketworks, a leading software-as-a-service (SaaS) e-commerce provider, where he orchestrated the company's merger with ChannelAdvisor Corp. Prior to Marketworks, Hadaway was CFO at Synchrologic, which pioneered technology enabling wireless synchronization of email and personal information to smart phones and other mobile devices. In his 23 years of experience, Hadaway has played an integral role in raising more than $200 million in capital and managing acquisitions aggregating in excess of $500 million. Hadaway also held executive-level financial and strategy positions with Netzip, Link2Gov and Premiere Global Services.
"Multicast has established itself as a leader in providing solutions that enable companies, large and small, to manage and deliver video online," said Hadaway. "The company enjoys a tremendous amount of momentum today and I believe the opportunity to build upon that success in new markets and geographies is both substantial and exciting," continued Hadaway.
Multicast recently completed its highest quarter of revenue in the company's history and announced last week a partnership with Adobe whereby Multicast will provide the hosted Transcoding-as-a-Service (TaaS) solution for the newly released Adobe Flash Media Encoding Server software.
