Multicast to Launch The Giving Channel

Creation of internet broadband network to advance outreach and charitable giving

(Atlanta, Georgia) - April 12, 2005 - Atlanta-based Multicast™, the world's first provider of fully managed and hosted Internet broadcast channels, announced the launch of The Giving Channel™. The Giving Channel is a broadband portal designed to give nonprofit and philanthropic organizations a platform that provides global reach through the use of rich media, while at the same time providing efficient donor management tools. This is the first broadcast channel to be solely focused on outreach and charitable giving.

"Organizations within the nonprofit sector continue to seek ways to communicate their value to the donor community," said Lou Schwartz, Chairman and CEO of Multicast. "They have to show some urgency and some clarity about why donors should engage, and then effectively report outcomes and efficiencies. There is not a more powerful way to do so than with video, and there is not a better delivery platform than the Internet."

The Giving Channel will serve as a gateway for all nonprofits to deliver meaningful video and interactive content in order to create and maintain public confidence in the philanthropic traditions - voluntary association, voluntary giving, and voluntary action. The Giving Channel will increase the understanding of charitable giving and improve its practice through the delivery of video messaging from hundreds, if not thousands, of nonprofit organizations focused on research, outreach, public service, and public affairs.

The Giving Channel is scheduled to launch in June 2005.
