The Dan Marino Foundation's Childnett.tv Expands with Multicast, Comcast

(Miramar, Weston, FL) - January 25, 2005 - The Dan Marino Foundation, Multicast™ and Comcast announced today that they will continue to deliver programming on Childnett.tv in a continued effort to educate the world about autism and other neuro-developmental disabilities. Childnett.tv is a 24-hour interactive broadcast network that allows families, clinicians, educators and the interested public immediate access to the latest therapies, seminars and research.

The programming lineup on Childnett.tv currently includes interactive video content related to autism and other neurological disorders, public service announcements, and a consumer education campaign. Foundation spokesperson Dan Marino, who regularly appears on Comcast's Newsmaker program which airs on CNN Headline News, anchors the network. The Dan Marino Foundation is underwriting Childnett.tv as one of its outreach initiatives so that there will be no cost to participating families. "Childnett.tv, Multicast's suite of innovative internet broadcasting services, and Comcast's DSL services go hand-and-hand," says the Foundation's CEO Mary Partin. "The partnership just makes sense."

"We were surprised to learn autism occurs in as many as 1 in 250 children, and that it's the third most common developmental disability in this country," said Comcast's Senior Regional Vice President, Filemon Lopez. "The Dan Marino Foundation has a brand new outreach program to educate South Floridians and the country about this disorder and ways to treat it. We're excited to be a part of this unprecedented effort."

"It's great that we've been able to help thousands of kids in South Florida over the past twelve years," says the Foundation Chairman, Dan Marino. "But thanks to Multicast's development of our interactive broadcast network, Childnett.tv will now allow the Foundation to really reach out and help interested families and communities all over the world."
